My story

Hi,

 

I was born in the Eastern Townships on a dairy farm. As a child, I wanted a horse, and my dream of buying one came true at the age of 15.

A few months later, I started competing in local rodeos. I quickly fell in love with the sport and everything that revolves around the equestrian world.

I've always loved creating, designing & making my own clothes with my mother; she passed on her passion & taught me all about fashion.

At the age of 17, I took a course in Design (technical garment manufacture). During my studies, I immediately knew what I wanted to do in my professional life.

When I was 20, I officially registered the name "Mylwest" as a trademark.

The name MYLWEST is a combination of

MYL (Mylene) + WEST (Western)

As soon as I graduated from college, I moved to Montreal with an inexhaustible determination and a deep desire to work in the fashion industry.

I worked for 10 years in modeling and was a fitting model for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry.

My career allowed me to travel the world, work with great talent and learn from the industry.

Then I took the plunge and went into business for myself!

Since the beginning of the adventure, I've been lucky enough to work with my friend Phil, a talented graphic designer.

Each design has its own story, and all are created with great care.

We want to offer a modern touch... while preserving the classic cowboy heritage.
